The day highlights the importance of acceptance in authenticity while encouraging education and raising awareness of bias towards the transgender community.

Kaiser Permanente Mid-Atlantic States has a growing Transgender Health Services program. Their goal is to provide a high quality, culturally sensitive, and comprehensive program for all transgender patients throughout the region. Through physician and staff education, Pride involvement, and tools built within HealthConnect, they are spreading awareness and policy as they go.
