Seeking Inspiring Mental Wellness Stories of Hope

0

As part of Kaiser Permanente’s Find Your Words campaign, a national public health awareness initiative focused on mental health and wellness, we have partnered with StoryCorps, a national oral history project, to record, collect and preserve real-life stories related to depression and other mental health conditions. A select number of these stories will also be shared on Kaiser Permanente’s FindYourWords.org website.

We Need Inspiring Stories! We are looking for people to voluntarily share their unique experiences managing their own mental health conditions or helping someone else.

Kaiser Permanente is hosting a three-day recording session in Baltimore, MD Thursday through Saturday, December 7-9. We are looking for:

  • Two people who know each other – friends, family members and/or caregivers to share stories of how they have been impacted by mental health conditions
  • Individuals who are willing to voluntarily record their stories in an audio-style format, similar to a radio-style interview – either in English or Spanish
  • Can be available between December 7-9 in Baltimore, MD for a one-hour block to take part in an in-person recording session

Since personal outreach is key to our recruiting efforts, if you know someone who might have an inspiring story to tell, please reach out to them – we’ve attached some recruitment materials you can customize as you see fit.

If you find someone who is interested, please connect them with Margot.K.Hardy@kp.org. Let them know she will be contacting them to schedule a follow-up call to get a sense of their story and discuss logistics.

We appreciate your help and partnership in this effort. If you have any questions or need more information, please reach out to Margot.K.Hardy@kp.org.

Thank you.
