Here at Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States, there are more than 500 medical laboratory professionals who are responsible for providing quality results for our members. Positions include our phlebotomists, medical lab assistants, medical lab technicians, medical technologists, histotechnologists, cytotechnologists, pathology assistants, and board-certified pathologists.
Using state-of-the-art technology and instrumentation our laboratory professionals collect, perform, and supervise the testing that our clinical teams rely on for proper care and treatment of patients. It has been estimated that nearly 70-80% of clinical decisions made by physicians are based on results produced in the laboratory.
