Help Prince George’s County Thrive with REAL School Gardens

0

Did you know that learning gardens have been proven to help increase student activity rates, nutritional awareness, social-emotional skills, and even test scores? So, as part of Kaiser Permanente’s Thrive Initiative, we’re building two learning gardens in Prince George’s County this Spring and we need your help!

We’ve partnered with the nonprofit REAL School Gardens to lead employees on one-day volunteer events to build a beautiful learning garden at Mary Harris Mother Jones Elementary and Templeton Elementary. Employees get to work side by side with the parents, teachers, and the children that will benefit from the new outdoor classroom.

No gardening experience is necessary. REAL School Garden’s expert project leaders will match your skills with the perfect job, and in just one day, you’ll help transform an empty space into a beautiful place for children to learn and THRIVE! Check out the flyer with full details here.
