Call for Nominations: Recognizing Outstanding Staff and Excellence in Care Awards

When members enter our facilities at Kaiser Permanente, they’re expecting excellent care and service at every touchpoint, from the moment they’re greeted by the receptionist when they check in to the time they stop by the pharmacy or lab on their way out. It’s all of our jobs to make sure, together, we’re delivering an excellent experience for every member, every time. It’s also important to recognize when employees go above and beyond the call of duty to give members an exceptional experience. That is why the Regional Patient Care Services team is implementing the Recognizing Outstanding Staff and Excellence in Care (ROSE) Awards.

The ROSE Award recognizes non-nursing, member-facing employees (including clinical assistants, technicians, phlebotomists, receptionists, etc.) who exemplify outstanding service and excellence in caring for our members. Many admire the natural beauty of a rose and its fragrance, and like our non-nursing staff, a beautiful rose continually touches the lives of our members. The rose was chosen for this award because it represents life, friendship, and optimism while maintaining wisdom and knowledge. And just as roses keep blossoming year after year, our non-nursing staff play an integral part of Kaiser Permanente to keep our patients’ lives brighter and healthier.

Nominations are now open for the ROSE Award. For more information and to submit a nomination, please click here.

I worked with Rhonda Kinard at Capitol for over 16 years. She is an exceptional Clinical Assistance. She knows the department inside out and the physicians and other staff depends on her whole heartedly. She precepts new staff when no one else will volunteer. She picks up the slack for everyone else. She can go to any department and work with very little assistance. She is always there for her patients and she never forgets their names, or their personal stories even after several years have gone by. She use to be by right hand, always there to assist when I need assistance. I left the department a year now but she is still there doing great work and the doctors still depends on her, all love to work with her.
Even though I do not work with her anymore, I want to nominate her for her tireless and awesome job each day.
