Do you or a colleague volunteer regularly? Has your years of volunteerism made an impact in our community?

If so then we encourage you to nominate a colleague or yourself for the 2017 David Lawrence Community Service Awards. For more than a decade, Kaiser Permanente has recognized outstanding community service champions through our distinguished David Lawrence Community Service Award (DLCSA). Each year, the DLCSA nationally recognizes individuals and teams at Kaiser Permanente who are going above and beyond in their community service.

Now is your opportunity to participate by nominating a colleague or group of colleagues (or yourself) for this prestigious award. Eligibility requirements can be found on the application website.

Log on to complete the application at  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/dlcsa2017

Nominations will be accepted through October 16th.

For questions about the Mid-Atlantic DLCSA program please contact Laura Howard at Laura.J.Howard@kp.org

Last year’s Mid-Atlantic States winners of the David Lawrence Community Service Award:

Monte Sanchez: Volunteers with Manna Food Bank in Montgomery County on behalf of Kaiser Permanente, and personally volunteers with the Fairfax County’s Community Emergency Response Team, with a focus on first aid. He also volunteers with a local animal rescue and the Fairfax County Police Department.

Alex Haybok: Has volunteered and raised money for his children’s school, which includes helping build a playground, install new water fountains, improve school communications processes, and inspire a culture of active living. This includes more children walking to school or riding their bikes, spending more time being active outdoors, and yoga in the classroom.
