Did you know that it’s been 49 years since Washington, DC hosted the MLB All-Star Game in 1969 at RFK Stadium? KP had the honor of being a Proud Partner of MLB All-Star Week for its return to the Nation’s Capital earlier this month, and what a week it was! With everything from the world’s largest interactive baseball theme park to a colorful 5K and legendary baseball games, there was no shortage of excitement.

KP’s blue color zone

More than 200 visitors took our KP spin art bikes for a ride at the Kaiser Permanente booth at the 2018 Color Run MLB All-Star 5k, Presented by Nike. Runners were doused in environmentally friendly blue powder paint at KP’s Color Zone before cooling off under KP’s bright orange misting tents stationed at the finish line. A huge thank you to all the KP volunteers who helped KP make a big splash at the happiest 5k in the world! We’d also like to thank the KP employees who participated in the 5k.

KP had great visibility all throughout the week, including our Kaiser Permanente Proud Partner of MLB All-Star Week in-park digital signage, which were prominently displayed throughout the Sirius Futures and Legends & Celebrity Softball games on All-Star Sunday; the T-Mobile Home Run Derby on Monday; and the 89th MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday. We also had footprints with healthy tips and step counts displayed in Nationals Park during the All-Star Games and at GEICO All-Star Fanfest (see images below).

More than 14 million people watched All-Star Week events on television, with the 89th MLB All-Star game receiving the most views in history at 8.85 million. Our MLB All-Star Week social media posts also earned more than 700,000 impressions!

Thank you, again, to everyone who made this event a success! See image gallery below for more photos.
