Today we learned that the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) gave KPMAS the highest possible rating a health plan can earn. For the second year in a row, KPMAS earned this coveted 5 out of 5 rating for our commercial plans in NCQA’s Private Health Insurance Plan Ratings 2016–2017. Only 13 health plans in the nation—out of over 500 to be rated—earned a 5 out of 5. We are one of two plans in Maryland with a 5 (and the other is only available to military families) and the only plan with a 5 in Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Also for the second year in a row, KPMAS is the highest rated plan in Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Virginia in NCQA’s Medicare Health Insurance Plan Ratings.
