We know that we’ve got amazing stories to tell, but we can’t share them if we don’t know about them. That’s why we’re asking you to help us find examples of excellence in care delivery, service, and research that we can share with our employees, physicians, and anyone in the KPMAS region and beyond.

I was diagnosed with a condition recently, a condition I was having difficulty accepting or comprehending. A specialist was assigned to determine and carry out the best-prescribed care for my condition, which included a three-day stay in the hospital for observation while a new medication was introduced into my system. Even though the specialists were very detailed and forthcoming with the terms and philosophy of what they perceived the best care for me would be, it was my Primary Physician, Dr. Ommar Win, MD, M.D., who offered detailed, in layman terms, information which relieved my trepidation and anguish as I faced what seemed to be a daunting endeavor.
I am a firm believer that the courtesy a patient receives from their medical provider can help facilitate the cure that is needed.
Dr. Ommar Win, MD, M.D., provided that courtesy by responding to my email every time, via KP.org in a timely manner, with directness and honesty. For this, I am forever grateful.
