“Health education shouldn’t just be accessible, it should be unavoidable.”

-Sidney Garfield, MD, founding medical director, Kaiser Permanente

From October 17-21, Kaiser Permanente celebrates National Health Education Week. This week raises awareness of how health education and health educators contribute to achieving our total health vision.

In KPMAS, the Regional Health Education, Health Promotion, and Women’s Health team aims to promote holistic health and prevent illness through actions that help make health education unavoidable and the healthy choice the easy choice.

The team provides consulting services for initiatives designed to provide exceptional care and service, grow sustainably, and enable performance through people. Through programs such as healthy living classes, online and telephonic coaching support, the Annual Learning Conference for educators, and health promotion campaigns, the mission is to “Inspire People. Inform Choices. Improve Health.”
