Update: Over 100 KPMAS Employees Stand Up, Dance, and Give Back at Capital, Baltimore Pride Events

June is national Pride month, and in addition to participating in the Capital Pride event (June 10-11) Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States was thrilled to be among the many supporting the Baltimore Pride Festival, June 17-18.

More than 100 Kaiser Permanente employees participated or volunteered their time, voices, and even some pretty stellar dance moves during the Capital and Baltimore Pride Parades and Festivals. Employees radiated KPMAS’ commitment to diversity and inclusion while supporting our LGBTQ colleagues and community. In addition, The Mobile Health Van was onsite ensuring all communities thrive.

Of course, for Kaiser Permanente, inclusion isn’t just about parades and festivals. Our dedication to inclusion goes deep, which is why the organization for the last 11 years has earned a perfect score of 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Scorecard on LGBT Workplace Equality. Kaiser Permanente also recently earned the number two ranking on the 2017 Top 50 Companies for Diversity, which is issued yearly by DiversityInc. to recognize diversity and inclusion in management.

Northern Virginia Pride is later this year. If you’re interested in volunteering for Northern Virginia Pride or other events information will be available on the Kp Cares site.
