NEW CARROLLTON, Md. – Kaiser Permanente recently announced awarding $1.232 million in grants to 19 community organizations and nonprofits for programs between October and December 2025. These recent grants reflect Kaiser Permanente’s ongoing commitment to address the social factors of health, which research shows accounts for about 80% of health outcomes.

Kaiser Permanente strategically selected these grant recipients for their dedication to improving health and advancing health equity in the communities we serve by addressing the root causes of health disparities, such as access to health care, nutritious food, affordable housing, economic opportunity, mental health and community safety.

“Kaiser Permanente is proud to invest in partners who are strengthening the health and wellbeing of our communities every day,” said Ondrea McIntyre-Hall, senior director of Community Health at Kaiser Permanente, Mid-Atlantic States. “These grants reflect our belief that health starts with strong, connected neighborhoods where people have access to healthy food, stable housing, economic opportunity, and supportive care.
