As you know, KPMAS has grown membership at an unprecedented rate. Our thanks go to our employees and physicians for the extraordinary care they provide, year after year, to our expanding patient base.

Your success has set the stage for making our award-winning health care and coverage available to even more residents and communities. We are proud to announce that two new, state-of-the-art medical office buildings are coming to the NOVA Service Area. These exciting investments – located in Stafford, Va., and Prince William County, Va. – are designed to further fulfill our mission of proving high-quality, affordable health care to the communities in our region.

Located on the Stafford Hospital campus, the soon-to-be-named 38,375 square-foot Kaiser Permanente medical office building will include exam rooms for primary care and rotating specialty care and space for behavioral health, optometry, urgent care, physical therapy, a pharmacy, laboratory and imaging services. The medical office building is scheduled to open in mid-2019.

A Kaiser Permanente medical office building in Haymarket, VA., will be conveniently located near I-66. The 36,423 square-foot facility will include exam rooms and offer adult primary care, OB/GYN, a clinical laboratory, pharmacy, optometry and behavioral health services. It will also provide imaging services, such as general radiology, mammography and bone density scanning. This facility is expected to open in late 2019.

These new medical facilities in Stafford and Haymarket are just part of our exciting expansion in Virginia. In addition to these facilities, we are building a previously announced Alexandria Medical Office Building and expanding our Ashburn Medical Center. We also recently purchased land in Prince Williams County and will provide more information about that as plans come together.

As a result of these investments, more people will be able to experience the outstanding care and service our employees and physicians provide, our presence in the state will increase, and Kaiser Permanente will be recognized as the model for how health care should be delivered.

Thanks for all you do for our members and each other. And, stay tuned for more capital updates.
